The Silesian Centre for Freedom and Solidarity in Katowice operates a social archive documenting the activities of the Solidarity opposition of the 1980s. We also develop an oral history archive by recording testimonies and recollections of participants in the events of martial law. The Centre additionally creates a collection of artworks inspired by themes of freedom and resistance. Selected materials are incorporated into the main exhibition, helping visitors better understand the context of the martial law period.
